I don’t really approve of Hawkeye. I don’t even know who he is. He doesnt even has his own movie. Admit it, you don’t know him either. If you have a problem you need to leave.
You don’t approve of Hawkeye…because you don’t know who he is AND because he doesn’t have his own movie?
That is the LAMEST reason I have heard of for someone not liking a character. Because they don’t have their own movie? How petty is that.
Hawkeye, aka Clinton “Clint” Francis Barton
Orphaned at a young age with his brother Barney after losing his alcoholic and abusive father and victimized mother in what I believe was a car accident. HE and his brother ran away from the orphanage they were living at and joined the circus that was in town. While there Clint was discovered by Swordsman, the circus’ archer, who agreed to train him. His brother Barney turned to crime. Clint was betrayed by both the Swordsman and his brother, who were embezzling money from the circus. They beat him and left him for dead.
However he continued in the circus and became a master Archer. It wasn’t until he witnessed Iron Man’s feats that he decided to become a masked hero. However, due to a misunderstanding, Clint is mistaken for a criminal and is forced to go on the run. While a fugitive he meets and falls in love with Natasha Romanov, Black Widow. Naive and in love, he blindly follows her on several undercover soviet ops, in the end trying to steal from Tony Stark. Widow is injured in a confrontation and though Clint attempts to save her she disappears and leaves him on his own. That’s when he decides to go straight and Iron Man’s butler, Edwin Jarvis, gives him a second chance.
Over the years Clint has taken the guise Hawkeye, Goliath, and Ronin. He was married to Mockingbird, aka Bobbi Morse, and depending on the series you are reading, they are either still married, divorced, or she died at the hands of the Skrulls.
In the new films, Clint has been somewhat rewritten as an agent of shield, so that his connections with Black Widow are less unsavory and a bit more “Heroic” than how they originally met. This is also tied into the Ultimates series.
Clint Barton is an important character to the avengers, and just because he doesn’t have his own goddamn movie, doesn’t mean he isn’t as important, if not more so, than Cap, Tony or Thor.
help, I’m trying to write a blurb and I’m too lazy to research.
